I'm surprised I'm just finally submitting something Halo 4 related.
Man, what is wrong with me!

As for the joke's origin: Back on Halo Waypoint, we were all discussing how Master Chief has been bashed by most of the new characters (insulted by Captain Del Rio, and scoffed at by SIV CO Palmer, and how Cortana's rampancy is making her a bit volatile) so, minus Lasky of course, I reacted with "The only one who seemed nice to Chief was that Promethean. Hell, it tried to kiss him before he sucker-punched it!"

so yeah.
